Henry Bicking, Jr

Henry Bicking, Jr, 58, of Bridgeport, died August 15 in Yale New Haven Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was the father of Henry S. Bicking and Trieste A. Bicking, both of Newtown.

Born in Nelliston, N.Y., he was an area resident for 15 years and retired as a financial analyst for Sikorsky Aircraft after 15 years of service. He was honorably discharged from the US Army Reserves in 1974.

Survivors also include his beloved wife of 15 years, Cynthia G. (Norrick) Bicking of Bridgeport; his mother, Eleanor E. (Putnam) Bicking Weisser Gouse of New York Mills, N.Y.; one brother, Clyde F. Bicking of Herkimer, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Amber and Sarah Bicking; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Henry Bicking, Sr.

Calling hours were scheduled on Thursday, August 17, from 6 to 8 pm in the Trumbull Church of Christ, 2 Drew Circle, Trumbull. A funeral service will follow at 8 pm with Mr Gary Babcock officiating. Burial services will be held on Friday, August 18, at 11 am in Maple Grove Cemetery, Easton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trumbull Church of Christ or to the Yale-New Haven Organ Transplant Center Education Fund in memory of Henry Bicking, Yale New Haven Hospital attn: Jan May-Chrapman, 333 Cedar Street, PO Box 208062, New Haven, CT 06520-8062.

The Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2160 Main Street, Bridgeport, is in charge of arrangements.
