Kidologie Goes Back To School Event Set For August 18 In Trumbull

TRUMBULL — The second Annual Kidologie Goes Back to School event is set for August 18 from 11 am until 4 pm in the Lord & Taylor Court at the Westfield Trumbull Mall.

The free event will be held on the first day of Connecticut’s Tax Free Shopping week and will include live entertainment and demonstrations throughout the day as well as exhibitors offering information about family-friendly businesses. There will be interactive activities throughout the event as well as giveaways, including a Four-Day All-Inclusive Family Getaway to Woodloch Pines Resort located in Hawley, Penn., and Free Kidologie Signature Goody Bags filled with treats for kids and families, including $25 gift cards to Lord & Taylor while supplies last.

“We are extremely pleased with how this year’s event is coming together,” said Lisa Agresta, partner of Connectologie LLC, the creators of Kidologie and other fun events in Connecticut. “Some of the exhibitors that families will have the opportunity to meet include Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, The Maritime Aquarium with their Touch Tank, The Discovery Museum and Planetarium, Woodloch Resorts, our official show photographer — Portrait Simple, Macaroni Kid, Bounce U, Pediatric Healthcare Associates, Foster & Adoptive Mission, Bright Ideas, Brain Balance, Wells Fargo, Fairfield’s Steve DeMasco’s Shaolin Studios, Sundae Spa, Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors, National Vision, TIAA-CREF Tuition Financing Inc, Music for Little Hands, Barefoot Books, just to name a few.”

Kidologie Goes Back to School will be offering many free giveaways throughout the day for attendees to enter to win by filling out a raffle ticket available at the Kidologie welcome desk. There will be free tickets to Stepping Stones Children’s Museum and The Discovery Museum and Planetarium, a free photography session and six free photo sheets from Portrait Simple, a gift basket from Wells Fargo, an Atlas Book from Barefoot Books accompanied with an iTunes gift card, and other giveaways.

The Grand Prize Giveaway, which will be announced promptly at 4 pm the day of the event, will be the “Golden Ticket,” a four-day all-inclusive family getaway to Woodloch Pines Resort. The giveaway is valued at up to $3,000. For more information on Woodloch visit its website at www.woodloch.com.

Kidologie will also feature live entertainment by Jester Jim Comedy Juggling, a magic show performed by Magic Moments with Bryan Lizotte, The Singing Principal, Al Decant, Balloon Twisting by Matthew Star, face painting, and visits from the Little Mermaid and Rapunzel by Fairytale Memories Character Entertainment.

In addition to producing the 2nd Annual Kidologie Goes Back to School event, the company produced Kidologie Gets Ready for Summer that was held on March 10 in Newtown and benefited the Newtown Memorial Fund. Lisa Agresta, a partner of Connectologie, has also participated in the production of a fun night out and fundraiser for women in June 2012 titled “Womanologie,” which benefited the EverWonder Children’s Museum.
