The Voice Of Experience

Please join me in supporting Will Rodgers for State Representative. He has what it takes to advocate for Newtown and strive for better fiscal responsibility at the state level, as he has already done at the town level. He has served on the Legislative Council for 11 years and has been the chairman for the last five years. He has also served on numerous other committees in Newtown, including an Elder Tax Relief Committee that directly resulted in the most significant elderly tax relief program we have, and he was chair of the Middle Gate School Site Based Management Committee.

Will has also had the experience of serving his country as a colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves (Operation Iraqi Freedom, 8/06–3/07). He knows the struggles of raising a family and paying property taxes and has served his community and country for many years. While it is refreshing to see a young man like Chris Lyddy serving his town and getting involved, he joined the Legislative Council just last November, and we need a voice of experience in Hartford. Will has developed the contacts in Hartford to bring much more to the table than a typical freshman representative can. It will be my honor to vote for Will Rodgers on November 4. Please join me.
