Who has been your favorite teacher and why?

Scott Wexler: “I loved all my teachers at Sandy Hook School. This year I’m going to Reed Intermediate School. I’m a little nervous, but also very excited.”

Evan Wexler: “I liked my first grade teacher, Mrs [Jennifer] Monahan, from Sandy Hook School. She’s really nice.”

Amber Ruscoe: “My eighth grade teacher, Mr William Ryan, was great. He’s really funny and knows how to relate to the [eighth grade] age group.”

Barbara Novak: “My fourth grade teacher, Mrs Anne Fitzgerald, was excellent. She made history come alive!”

Rabiya Ansari: “My third grade teacher, Mrs Vagnini, from the John Winthrop Elementary School in Bridgeport. She always let us have recess, and she would give us treats and candies all the time. She didn’t have any children of her own, so we became her kids.”

Christopher Towne: “My political science professor from Western Connecticut State University [in Danbury], Dr Christopher Kukk. He was not afraid to be booed!”
