What Every Artist Should Know About Reproducing Art

NEW FAIRFIELD — This month’s Candlewood League of Artists (CLA) program will be a special informational presentation on photographing and reproducing artwork. The program is scheduled for Monday, August 18, from 7 to 8:30 pm, at New Fairfield Library.

CLA has invited Bill McCann and Bob Sabin of Putnam Imaging Center in Danbury to discuss what is available to artists today who are interested in reproducing their artwork.

The program will include information on giclee (“zhe-clay”) prints, a fairly new digital printmaking process that creates prints on watercolor paper of canvas that look exactly like the originals.

All are welcome to this free event, which will be in the library’s community room. New Fairfield Library is on Brush Hill Road (Route 39). For more information call Nancy Warwick at 746-9100.
