Registrations for the 2003 Victor Coopersmith Cup – presented by the Newtown Tennis Association and sponsored by the Richard Coopersmith Family – are being accepted right now. Entries close on August 15. The tournament is open only to Newtown residents. Age groups (10 and under, 14 and under, 18 and under) will be determined by the players’ age as of August 18, 2003. Round robin matches will begin at 9 am at Dickinson Park on August 18 (U10), August 19 (U14) and August 20 (U18). Rain dates will be August 21 and 22. The final round matches are slated for Sunday, August 31, at Dickinson Park. Cost is $5 per player, per event (maximum two events per player).
