Family Says Thank You

To the Editor:

On August 5, while we were 600 miles away in Canada, our house caught on fire. There are so many people to thank, but we must start with God who put my wonderful neighbor Kathy Buda (lead singer of the famous Moppin’ Sauce Band) in the right place at the right time. We are eternally grateful to her, and her daughters Alyssa and Jackie, for acting so quickly. Without them the house would have burnt to the ground. You’re the best.

The firefighters were prompt and did in excellent job putting out the fire with the least amount of damage to the house. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.

To our other neighbor, Ron Stockman, who worked many, many hours to secure our house and clean up the property. There is no way to ever repay you. You and Sue are two of the most kind and generous people we know. Please don’t ever move.

To Steve Rosenthal (president of Leahy’s Fuel) thank you for taking the time to try and help my daughter.

And lastly to The Newtown Bee for not reporting, as The News-Times did, that we were on vacation which only added more stress to an already stressful situation.
