Local Realtors Enjoy Prestigious

‘Top 5’ Industry Achievement

Reaching the pinnacle of their professions nationally, several Newtown realtors — Bob Tendler, Andy Sachs, and Doreen Kostecki of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and Kathy Suhoza of Coldwell Banker Moves — were recently accepted as members of the Top 5 in Real Estate Network.

More than just a sales-driven recognition, the Top 5 in Real Estate Network meets a need that heretofore has never been addressed — helping consumers identify the most professional real estate agents in North America. To qualify, each member must first meet a stringent set of criteria, based upon performance, as well as educational and professional skills and service to the consumer.

Members of the network are carefully selected and managed by RISMedia, which has provided the real estate industry with objective, unbiased news for nearly 30 years. As a member of the Top 5 Network, these local agents are among the first to be accepted into this elite organization.

Allan Dalton, the president and co-founder of RISMedia’s Top 5 Network, acknowledged the local realtors for reaching the very highest status among North America’s residential real estate professionals.

“Not only are their professional accomplishments extraordinary, they have long been true champions for home buyers and sellers in their area,” Mr Dalton said.

According to John Featherston, RISMedia’s CEO and publisher and co-founder of the Top 5 in Real Estate Network, the significance of Top 5 is that consumers deserve full transparency regarding all matters related to the real estate transaction, which often begins with the need to select a highly competent, experienced, and results-oriented real estate professional.

Top 5 in Real Estate has been established to both empower consumers with leading real estate content through Top 5 members, as well as to ensure that consumers are made fully aware that there is a material difference between average and exceptional real estate professionals.

Celebrating her 25th year in real estate, Doreen Kostecki specializes in residential listings and sales in Newtown. Honored as Newtown’s Realtor of the Year, she is one of the top 50 Connecticut Coldwell Banker realtors, and a member of CB President’s Diamond Society.

As an expert in the area, Ms Kostecki achieved the following professional designations: CRS (certified residential specialist, 15-year member), ASP (accredited staging professional), and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute). Visit her website at www.NicerInNewtown.com.

Bob Tendler became a licensed realtor in 1976, opening Bob Tendler Real Estate in 1980. The company continued to maintain the #1 position in sales, listings sold and sales volume for Newtown residential sales over the next 20-plus years.

After selling his company to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2004, the office continues to be #1 in Newtown. With more than 30 years of experience, Mr Tendler has become a skilled negotiator and a specialist in the Newtown real estate market. Extremely active in the community, he is a two-time president of the Newtown Board of Realtors, serving as a director for more than 15 years and honored twice as local Realtor of the Year.

Mr Tendler has also sponsored youth athletic teams as well as donated time and funds to may local groups.

Andy Sachs — Mr Tendler’s son-in-law — has developed and refined his skills in sales, marketing, communications, and client services in other businesses prior to entering real estate. He achieved his certificate in legal risk reduction, is a Cartus network inventory specialist, marketing specialist, and referral specialist. In addition to his acceptance in the Top 5 in Real Estate Network, Mr Sachs has also been recognized by RISMedia as one of the nation’s 50 Realtors on the Rise in Real Estate magazine.

Other awards and accolades include: 2006-2007 Rookie of the Year for all of Fairfield County and the Coldwell Banker Sterling Society for superior performance for 2007 and 2008. For more information, email Andy.Sachs@cbmoves.com

Kathy Suhoza worked for the Town of Newtown for five years and is well versed in the town’s building regulations, processes, residential valuations, and possesses an expansive knowledge of the town itself.
