Karate Kids ... Porco’s Students Demonstrate Their Skills

Porco’s Karate Academy hold its testing event recently. Participants include students from Porco’s studios in Sandy Hook and Southbury. The students, who have been training for two to three years, demonstrated their abilities to instructors. The test cycle involves both mental and physical demonstration through specific hand and feet technique combinations, forms, weapons forms, hand/feet/grabbing defense techniques, free fighting, rolls and break falls, and an oral test on the history of the martial art Tang Soo Do. Each section of the test was run by a different black belt instructor while Master Mike Porco Sr examined his hardworking students’ skills. As always, the students performed with high energy and high spirits and all joined together in the celebration of receiving his or her new rank.
