Spiritual Solutions

To the Editor:

The traumatic ordeal of Ridgefield’s Jack Tobin imprisoned in Russian jails informs the observer that this former Communist governed nation remains an oppressive atheistic dictatorship. Not only Jack Tobin but the good people of Russia have been or presently are hostages to the government. What can we Americans do especially those of us who are Roman Catholics to change Russia’s government?

Russia’s government will never be changed by the politics and programs of the Republican or Democratic politicians. The solution is spiritual in nature especially since the present government is perceived to be evil. The Russian solution was provided on June 13, 1929, when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Sister Lucia dos Santos, the remaining Fatima, Portugal visionary. The Virgin Mary announced to Sister Lucia who is still alive today: “The Moment has arrived when God asks the holy father (the pope) in union with all the bishops of the world to make the consecration of Russia to my heart, promising to save it by this means.”_ The consecration of Russia still has not been performed. Pope John Paul hasn’t done it either.

Russia and specifically Communism was responsible for World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. If Russia is not consecrated, an event worse than these terrible wars will come about. Jack Tobin’s ordeal was traumatic. War is worse. Contact the pastor of Saint Rose and the bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport.
