The G-Fest Was A Great Success

To the Editor:

Hello, this is Jason Glander writing to you to give a personal thank you to everybody that made the G-Fest possible and also made it such a huge success for its first year.

I would like to acknowledge that we raised over $4,000 to donate to the American Heart Association, and I could not possibly have put this concert on without the support of everyone involved.  I would like to thank all the bands that played: Dan Bailey and the Circle of Sound, The Mental Gypsies, The Grapes, Gutter Boogie, Drawn Inward, Gravy Hound, Retzlib Flow, and Amnesty.

Every band that played was truly amazing and really made The G-Fest a wonderful musical experience.  I would also like to thank all my sponsors:  Clearheart Construction, Newtown Exxon, Newtown Color Center, Ice Cream Shop, Newtown Drug Center, William Pitt Real Estate, Carminuccio’s, Emmett and Glander, Wesco Sports, Precision Printing, J and J Pools, Video Movie Corner, The Villa, Pizza Palace, Hair in the Hook, R. Mathison Floors, Skateraid, Cadbury Schwepps, The Newtown Bee, Berkshire Motors, and Automated Security Systems.  Their donations to the raffle and to the Heart Association helped make the concert a success.  It would also be impossible to have done the show without them.

Finally I would like to thank a few people personally who worked at the show or have helped put it together to make it happen.  I would like to send a huge thanks to: Jim and Peg Brower, Bernie and Barb Yemc, Linda Whipkey, Robert Morey, Sheila and Devery Stickles, Margaret Hull, Debbie Modzelewski, Barb Fowler, Nick Iodice, John Benvenudi, Chris Grosek at CSG productions, the entire Parks and Rec maintenance department, and to my family who helped organize the event.  I apologize for anyone I forgot to mention, I am truly sorry and I thank you for all your help even though I failed to mention you.

I hope everyone enjoyed the show and I invite everyone to come out next year for the second annual G-Fest.
