Newtown Lobster Bake Picnic Enjoyed By Almost All
Newtown Lobster Bake Picnic
Enjoyed By Almost All
Newtown Rotary Club members held their annual picnic at Dickerson Park and it was enjoyed by all except the two-pound lobsters that became the main dish. Club members and their spouses and friends look forward to this annual event where it was noted that a number of people carried some leftovers for the next day. The lobster was more then a match for them.
The Rotary Club is in its final stages of its Harley Davidson motorcycle raffle; anyone interested in obtaining a ticket can call Bill Calderara at 426-9773. The raffle is to raise money to help many community organizations and to promote projects for the community of Newtown and the world that help make a better life for people who are less fortunate.
The Rotary Club of Newtown meets at 6 pm each Monday for a supper meeting at the Fireside Inn on Route 25 in Newtown. Anyone interested in learning more about Rotary should call Brian Amey at 426-6605 or attend one of the clubâs meetings.
