Mailbox Incident
Police are investigating a case of mailbox vandalism at a Saw Mill Ridge Road residence.
Sometime between 8 pm August 9 and 7:49 am August 10, someone removed a residential mailbox from the curbside in front of 10 Saw Mill Ridge Road. The mailbox was then left nearby.

Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Jason Visokay, 25, of Southbury turned himself in at the police station on the night of August 10 and was charged with three counts of second-degree failure to appear in court, plus charges of failure to drive to the right and evading responsibility.
The motor vehicle charges stem from automobile accident that occurred last December 25, police said. The other charges stem from Visokayâs not appearing in court to answer to the motor vehicle charges.
After posting $1,500 bail, police released Visokay for an August 26 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Great Hill Road
Police report they stopped motorist Jacob Larkin, 29, of Danbury on Great Hill Road about 12:45 pm August 10 and charged him with traveling too fast and with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana. Police said Larkin is scheduled to appear August 31 in Danbury Superior Court.
Newtown police said they turned over Larkin to Danbury police, who held an arrest warrant for him.
