Dental Associates Helps Make

A Child’s Wish Come True

Dental Associates of Western Connecticut recently presented a check for $4,775 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut to help make a 4-year-old girl’s wish to go to Disney World come true.

For a second consecutive year, doctors and staff organized a car wash fundraiser to support a local child at Dental Associates’ three locations in Newtown, Danbury, and New Milford. Dental Associates matched all of the contributions made by its clients and friends at the car wash on July 11 and collected in donation boxes displayed at each office during the month of July.

This year, Dental Associates is dedicated to granting Anna’s wish. Enchanted by princesses and Disney books, Anna is especially looking forward to meeting Cinderella and enjoying the fresh air and Florida sunshine. Her wish-come-true, seven-day vacation is being planned by the Make-A-Wish Foundation for October 2004.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Wish-come-true experiences provide children, ages 2½ to 18, with a respite from lengthy hospital stays, medical treatments, and doctor visits and empower them make choices that will bring them happiness.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut is 100 percent donor funded. All money raised in Connecticut is dedicated to serving Connecticut children and their families.
