Joni Germani-Pagliaro

Joni A. Germani-Pagliaro, 44, of Sandy Hook, died August 10 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., Mrs Germani-Pagliaro was a life insurance underwriter for 26 years, most recently as senior vice president with Swiss Re America Life and Health in Stamford.

She was a former officer of the Home Office Life Underwriters Association (HOLUA) in addition to other industry organizations. She was previously a resident of Danbury, Chicago and Syracuse.

She was an avid supporter of the Karl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford, organizing a corporate team to participate in the annual Bennett Cancer Walk to benefit cancer patients and their survivors.

Mrs Germani-Pagliaro is survived by her husband, Robert Pagliaro, Jr, of Sandy Hook; her sister, Lynn G. Schantz of Kirkville, N.Y.; her brother, John P. Germani of Lexington, S.C.; her sister, Aubrey S. Germani of East Syracuse, N.Y.; her stepmother, Judi Germani of East Syracuse, N.Y.; and three nieces and three nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on August 13 at St Mary’s Church, 24 Dodgingtown Road in Bethel. A graveside service at St Mary Cemetery followed.

Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street in Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
