Thanksgiving In August

To the Editor:

Again, our town has shown its true colors by stepping up to the plate and filling the cupboards of Faith Food Pantry to overflowing, following your front-page article last week describing our empty cupboards.

We are now celebrating Thanksgiving in August!

Thank you, The Newtown Bee, for getting out the word.

Thank you, anonymous donors, who showed up all weekend and Tuesday morning with groceries and donations.

Thank you, fraternal and religious groups, for responding so quickly to the needs of our neighbors.

Your generosity is deeply appreciated by clients and FAITH Food Pantry volunteers alike!
