Marie Lawlor Silder, 86, of Trumbull, died August 7, in her home. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and was a longtime Monroe resident.

Her beloved husband Stephen H. Silder of Trumbull; four brothers and sisters, including Betty Syrotiak of Newtown; two children, Kathleen Keaney and Stephen H. Silder, Jr; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews survive Mrs Silder.

She was employed with General Electric, Vitramon, and American Chain and Cable. While raising her children, she was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader.

Funeral services took place August 10. Interment was in Newtown Village Cemetery.
