NBLA Meeting: The Newtown Bridle Lands Association will have Dr. Jenifer Nadeau, Associate Professor and Equine Extension Specialist from the University of Connecticut speak at the open meeting on Tuesday, August 16 at 7:30, in the lower level of The Meeting House on Main Street.

The event is free to NBLA members and a donation is requested from non-members. Refreshments will be available afterwards and RSVPs are greatly appreciated. Call 203-791-4853 or email newtownhorses@charter.net.

Brushy Hill Horse Show: Brushy Hill Farm, in Southbury, will sponsor its Horse Show on Sunday, August 21. Classes will include Leadline, Walk/Trot, Short Stirrup, Long Stirrup, Pleasure, and Schooling Hunter in the Indoor Arena. The Jumpers, Baby Green Hunter, Child/Adult Equitation, Child/Adult Hunter, and Open Equitation will be held in the Outdoor Arena.
