Something To Be Proud Of

Thanks to Mike FitzSimons for the many hours he spent arranging the fantastic tercentennial fireworks display on Saturday night. It was one of the best we have ever seen. Same time next year, Mike?

Also, a special thank you to the hundreds of Newtown folks who watched the fireworks on Castle Hill and left the entire area virtually trash-free. Believe it or not, there was less trash left by all these people than is usually left by a few people every other night. It shows that Newtown people can respect and take pride in a beautiful and unique place in town.
