Rotary President

Paul Lux was installed as the new president of the Rotary Club of Newtown by Rotary District Governor Pam Akins of New London.  Also installed were Larry Gardner, president elect; Dick Sturdevant, vice president; Joe Tarshis, secretary; Pat Kelly, assistant treasurer; Brian Amey, assistant district governor of the local area; and Larry Nkabinde, immediate past president.

 Newtown Rotary had a very successful year, raising more than $60,000 for local and worldwide projects to help less fortunate people attain a better life or even life itself.

 Newtown Rotary Club meets every Monday night at 6:15 pm for a supper meeting at the Fireside on Route 25. Anyone interested in learning more about Rotary is invited to call President Paul Lux at 426-8332 during the day or attend a Monday night meeting.
