Christmas Lights

It’s the middle of August, but already the residents at Newtown’s senior housing complex, Nunnawauk Meadows, are thinking about Christmas — specifically their Christmas tree.

Nunnawauk resident Roxie Define said this week that the housing complex needs a new set of lights for its outdoor Christmas tree. He estimated that the cost of enough lights to cover the tree would be about $300. He also noted that since the tree has grown quite a bit in recent years, this year Nunnawauk Meadows would need to find someone with a cherry picker to help put up the lights.
