Horn Recital At NCC, Saturday Afternoon

Music teacher Dan Coffman will host a free recital by some of his students on Saturday, August 13, at 2 pm.

The recital will be in the sanctuary of Newtown Congregational Church, at 14 West Street. All are welcome.

The concert will include performances by French horn students Lisa Peterson, Aaron Atwood and Sean Sutherland.

The program will include Beethoven’s Horn Sonata, Mozart’s Third Concerto, Telemann’s Suite for Two Horns, and a Shubert work for horn, soprano and piano that will additionally include Mr Coffman’s wife Maureen on vocals and the pianist Margarita Nuller.

Mr Coffman, who is the new choir director at Newtown Congregational Church, will also be performing during segments of the concert.
