Family Day

With

Kimberly Hahn

St Rose of Lima’s Pro-Life/Pro Family Committee will present Family Day With Kimberly Hahn beginning at noon on Saturday, August 27. The program is appropriate for all ages.

A convert to Catholicism, Ms Hahn has written and co-written three books, including her most recent publication, Life Giving Love: Embracing God’s Beautiful Design for Marriage. She and her husband, Scott Hahn, an author, professor, and speaker, have chronicled their journey of conversion to the Catholic faith in their book Rome Sweet Home.

The couple, who have six children, appear often on the Catholic television network EWTN, and have produced several audio cassettes on marriage and Catholic family life.

Kimberly Hahn has co-authored a book on Catholic home education entitled Catholic Education — Homeward Bound: A Guide to Home Schooling. She has home-schooled her children for 17 years. Her newest book, Life Giving Love, was published in April 2002 from Servant Publications.

So that everyone can enjoy this conference, there will be a special program for children, aged toddlers through eighth grade, with a special Eucharist-based program led by a young adult team, including two who have master’s degrees in counseling from Steubenville, Ohio.

Ms Hahn has a bachelor’s degree in communication arts, magna cum laude, from Grove City College in Grove City, Penn., and a master of arts degree in theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, also magna cum laude, in May 1982. During the school year, she leads a weekly Bible study at Franciscan University.

The cost of the conference at St Rose is $5 per person or $10 per family. A pizza lunch is included. The afternoon will conclude with Mass at 4 pm that fulfills the Sunday obligation.

To register for the event, contact registration coordinator Ann Marie Mitchell at 426-3339. For additional information, contact the Rev John Inserra at 426-1014.p
