Edward J. Cardoso, 53, husband of Louise (Vrabel) Cardoso, died August 6 at Waterbury Hospital shortly after admittance.

Besides his wife, and father and mother, he is survived by one brother, John Cardoso of Newtown; two sisters, Elizabeth Humphries of Naugatuck and Dorothy Simon of Trumbull; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr Cardoso was born November 4, 1951 in Portugal, a son of Edwardo and Filomena (Rodrigues) Cardoso of Portugal. He was an electrician and a communicant of St Anthony’s Church in Prospect. He was also a member of the Community of the Cross Ministries in Danbury.

The funeral was held August 10 from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, Waterbury, and in St Anthony’s Church for a Mass. Burial is to be announced.
