‘Wine, Women And Art,’ IV

SHERMAN — White Silo Farm and Winery/Gallery will feature art by Diane Mesagno, Adele Moros and Paula Renee for the fourth consecutive year in an exhibition entitled “Wine, Women and Art.” The exhibition will be on view August 18 through September 4, and an opening reception is planned for Sunday, August 20, from 2 to 5 pm, which will include wine tasting and refreshments.

Diane Mesagno divides her time between Florida and Connecticut. She trained as an architect in New York and studied sculpture in Europe. While in Florida, she volunteers with the Spoil Island Group, helping to restore and maintain the islands of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Ms Mesagno paints pleine aire from boat and shore, and also carves figures and planters for the garden.

Adele Moros, an accomplished painter and miniaturist who has been teaching for many years and was the founder of Bethel Arts Junction, will be exhibiting her traditional  landscapes and animal figures.

Ms Moros’s “Tiffany Cow” which was part of the 2000 Cows On Parade outdoor painted cow exhibition a few years ago in New York City was auctioned for $60,000.

Paula Renee is a multi-media artist who was recently commissioned to create 200 square feet of tapestries for a medical center in Connecticut. Her art has also been commissioned by major public, corporate and private collections in nine countries, and has been exhibited widely throughout the US.  Her art has also been on covers and in featured articles in numerous magazines such as Fiberarts, Science of Mind, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot, and in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s book Pages of Revelations.

She will be showing her latest dimensional flower collages, woven paintings, and other works.

The White Silo is at 32 Route 37 in Sherman and is open from 11 am to 5 pm Friday through Sunday.
