Vehicle Accident In Prison Parking Lot

State police report a four-vehicle accident in the parking lot at Garner Correctional Institution, the state’s high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road.

State police said that motorist Michael Caouette, 34, of Thomaston, who was driving a state-owned 2005 Dodge Stratus in the Garner parking lot about 10:42 am August 3, lost control of the auto and struck three parked vehicles — a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis, a 2004 Jeep Cherokee, and a 2003 Audi A-4.  The three parked vehicles were vacant. Caouette received minor injuries, state police said.
