NFA Offers Guided Nature Walks

The Newtown Forest Association (NFA) will be sponsoring monthly guided nature walks on its properties.  One or more NFA board members will lead the walks, which are open to the public.   All hikes are rated as easy, and will take place as follows:

August 19, 10 am at the Nettleton Preserve; September 16, 10 am at the Holcombe Memorial Trail; October 14, 10 am at the Bruno Preserve; October 21, 10 am at the Holcombe Preserve. Rain dates are Sunday, same time.

Hikes last roughly one hour and are accessible to people at all hiking levels.  Trails are family friendly. Hikers are asked to dress properly and wear adequate sun and tick protection.  All hikers will be responsible for any food and drink (water).

Visit www.newtownforestassociation.org  for hike program information and details about the NFA.

Since its formation in 1924, the NFA has served to protect more than 1,000 acres within Newtown.
