Michael S. Kareta and Amy L. Andrews

Mike and Diana Kareta of Newtown announce the engagement of their son, Michael Kareta, Jr, to Amy Leigh Andrews, daughter of Donnie and Ruth Andrews of Kemp, Texas.

Mr Kareta is a 1997 graduate of Newtown High School. He is currently at the University of California in Davis, working toward a PhD in biochemistry.

Ms Andrews is a student at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.. She is working toward a doctor of pharmacy degree.

Mr Kareta and Ms Andrews completed their undergraduate work at Texas A&M.
