Dorothy (Dzubak) Read

Beloved Family Member

Dorothy (Dzubak) Read, 73, of Danbury, wife of Earl D. Read, died at Danbury Hospital on August 7.

In addition to her husband Earl of 51 years, Mrs Read is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and James Wichman of Newtown, Florence and Anthony Maroto of Danbury, Irene and Edward Zurinskas of Greenacres, Fla., and Betty and Richard Clark; two brothers, John “Chi” Dzubak of Danbury, and Robert Dzubak and his wife, Kathy, of Jamestown, N.C.; three daughters, VaLinda D. Lawlor and her husband, David, and Suzette M. Lawlor and her husband, Shawn, all of Lascassas, Tenn., and Christine C. Read of New Milford; four grandchildren, David Lawlor, Jr, Kevin Lawlor and his wife, Becky, Shawn Lawlor, Jr, and his wife, Amy, and Stacy Lawlor; three great-grandchildren, Dakota Blake Lawlor, Hailey Grace Lawlor, and Shawn Early Lawlor; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward Dzubak, Frank Dzubak, and Joseph Dzubak; and four sisters, Mary Bielawski, Lillian Bertalovitz, Ann Danion, and Ethel Wilson.

Mrs Read was born in Danbury on August 27, 1932, a daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth (Bordach) Dzubak. She attended local schools, graduated from Danbury High School, Class of 1951, and was retired from Barden Corporation.

Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours.
