Donations Sought

For Ann’s Place Fundraiser

The fourth annual Festival of Trees and Traditions at Ann’s Place, The Home of I Can, in Danbury, will be held November 17, 18 and 19 at Starr Ridge Banquet and Conference Center on Star Ridge Road in Brewster, N.Y. Committee members are currently seeking donations of handmade items for the sale, which last year netted $78,000 to Ann’s Place.

The pieces that sell most quickly are full-sized quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, and baby quilts. Table runners are also popular, particularly those sized 65 inches by 18 inches. Crocheted baby blankets sell well, as do all knitted scarves and shawls.

Items may be brought to the office at 39 Old Ridgebury Road, Suite 17, in Danbury, in September and October, or pickup can be arranged by calling Jean Conover at 426-6141 or emailing her at jconover6146@sbcglobal.net, or Selman Kenter, 426-0559, arktekstil@superonline.com.

To help the festival organizers determine the number of items they will receive for the sale, it is asked that donors contact Ms Conover or Ms Kenter prior to delivery of the items to Ann’s Place.
