Concert Series Begins August 15

SOUTHBURY —  Pomperaug Woods will begin its outdoor summer concert series on Tuesday, August 15, with The Kerry Boys – the duo of Irish balladeers Mark James and Pierce Campbell.

The following Tuesday, August 22, Music from the Heart will perform popular American standards from the 20’s to the 70’s. The series will conclude with Heritage Village favorites Willie Nininger and John Kuhner on Tuesday, August 29.

All concerts are open to the public and will begin at 6:30 pm on the lawn by the Pomperaug Woods gazebo. Beginning at 5:30 pm, Pomperaug Woods will be giving tours of the community and serving hot dogs and beverages. Anyone wishing to attend should bring a lawn chair or blanket.

In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held indoors in Wilson Hall, and seating is limited. The main entrance to Pomperaug Woods is at 80 Heritage Road.
