Audubon Society Birding Demo

SOUTHBURY — Lillinonah Audubon Society will sponsor a live bird demonstration on Thursday, August 24, at 7:30 pm, in the barn at Bent of the River Audubon Center, 185 East Flat Hill Road.

A handler from Sharon Audubon will bring selected birds for viewing. The birds may include several types of owls, American kestrel, red-tailed hawks, and other raptors.

With the annual migration of hawks beginning in September, this is a good opportunity to hone skills on identification.

The public is welcome and there is no charge. Those attending should bring a flashlight for the walk back to the parking lot after the program.
