Amanda Barre and Anthony Costa were joined in marriage on July 28 at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich., with Miriam Jervis officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mary and Jerry Barre of Houston, Tex.
The groom is the son of June Nelson of Huntington and William Costa of Greenwich.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The brideâs gown was by Demetrio.
The maid of honor was Anna Collinson of Travers City, Mich.
The bridesmaids were Megan Costa of Lawrence, Mass., and Sandra Homola.
The attendants wore amethyst a-line dresses with cap sleeves.
The best man was Tom Maxwell, formerly of Newtown, who serves with the Peace Corps in the Republic of Modiva.
The ushers were Josh Newman of Norwalk, formerly of Newtown, and Jeremy Barre of Houston.
The bride graduated from Newtown High School and the University of Michigan. She is a research assistant in the Limnology Department of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
The groom graduated from Newtown High School and Boston College. He is a contracts manager with Tek Systems in Southfield, Mich.
The reception was held at the Henry Ford Museum.
Following a wedding trip to Bermuda, Mr and Mrs Costa are residing in Canton, Mich.
