The Womenâs Center has been providing continuous service to greater Danbury area residents since 1975. It is both a membership organization and a non-profit service provider.
Over the past 2½ decades, the Womenâs Center has offered free and confidential services including crisis intervention, workshops, support groups and education programs to thousands of women, children and men in the region. The center also maintains two 24-hour hotlines and a referral Helpline.
During this time, in addition to a small team of paid staff, more than 600 women and men have volunteered their time and energy in order to provide such services.
