SNAPSHOT LYNNE CAMPBELL

Occupation: I'm a real estate agent and a mother. I've been in real estate 2«

years - not that long.

How long in Newtown: I lived in Newtown all my life - 25 years. Now I've been

in Southbury 12 years. I was born and raised there. I sell in Newtown all the

time; everyday I'm in Newtown.

Biggest change in town: If you're going by my career, the prices of houses -

it's incredible - and the amount of people coming into town. Big changes.

Family: My husband, Bob, who works at the Newtown Post Office, and two

children, Michelle and Brad.

Pets: Two cats and a dog, a golden retriever.

Hobbies: I have lots of hobbies. I do cross-stitch. A group of nine girls get

together every Wednesday in Newtown - we all graduated together in 1976 - 20

years ago! We call ourselves Stitch and Bitch. And gardening, travel. I love

to travel. My husband and I like to go to the Caribbean - we like warmer

weather. I love to cook - you name it. I'm Hungarian in heritage so I do a lot

of Hungarian cooking. My family is the Hull family and originally they founded

Shady Rest in Sandy Hook going way back. I have a lot of family in Newtown.

When we get together, we have Solena picnics where you melt the fat over the

fire on top of bread.

Favorite flower: I don't have a favorite. I just love anything that grows. I

take care of all the plants in the office. If it's green and it's in dirt, I

take care of it. They thrive.

Organizations: I've given up all my affiliations with everybody. I used to say

yes to everything. I was a Girl Scout leader for 25 years. I've done my thing

as a volunteer.

Favorite place outdoors in Newtown: Top of Castle Hill. Isn't that everybody's

favorite place? Especially in the fall. I remember Dr Gretsch used to be up

there. We'd go up as kids and just sit. The trees are growing - it's starting

to lose some of it now.

Do you like to read: When I have time. John Grisham. Suspense - you know,

someboy's going to kill somebody and who did it. I do read a lot of magazines

- cooking and gardening magazines.

Personal philosophy: You don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. So don't

take life so seriously - get out and have some fun. Especially young people in

Southbury and Newtown who have been working so hard to have the big homes. I

guess that's a personal philosophy. And if you treat people well, you wake up

and think it's another great day. It comes back to you two-fold.
