Mile Hill Subdivision Proposed
A development partnership is proposing a 13-lot residential subdivision on 35
acres in the vicinity of the Nunnawauk Meadows apartment complex for the
elderly and Garner Correctional Institution.
On August 29, JSSL Partnership submitted an application for Mile Hill Estates
at the planning and zoning office in Town Hall South.
As depicted in the subdivision drawings, the development wouldn't require any
new road construction, but would use existing frontage on town roads for
subdivision building lots.
The property is on Mile Hill Road, Nunnawauk Road, and Hitfield Road. The
Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) was expected to formally receive the
application for review when it met September 5, after the deadline for this
edition of The Bee. The P&Z will schedule a public hearing on the development
proposal.
Larry Edwards Associates of Easton drew the plans for the project.
Those listed as partnership members with at least a 10 percent interest in the
home building project are from Easton. They are Larry Edwards, James Edwards,
Stephen Edwards, and Sally Bergen.
