Amber Alert ID Day In Sandy Hook
Amber Alert ID Day
In Sandy Hook
The Rotary Clubs of Danbury and Little Explorers of Newtown will be co-hosting a free Amber Alert Kids ID Session on Saturday, August 11, from 10 am to 2 pm. The event will be at Little Explorers of Newtown, 7 Berkshire Road in Sandy Hook.
Everyone is invited to update their children annually in the new Amber Alert Rapid Response System. The registration records a childâs information on a wallet-size card that parents can provide to police in the event of a disappearance to speed up having an Amber Alert issued.
Firefighters from Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue will be bringing a fire truck, a Newtown Police officer and Baro the police canine will be on site, and the Little Explorers playground and facility will be open for exploring. Face painting will also be available.
Reservations are not needed. For additional information call 203-270-3490.
