PORTLAND, MAINE — The Portland Museum of Art will present a lecture, “Angela Adams on Design,” Thursday, September 20, 6 to 8 pm, auditorium. Tickets are for $5 members, $10 nonmembers.

Maine’s own Angela Adams will speak about design and developing a lifestyle brand. Adams will discuss how she and her husband, furniture maker Sherwood Hamill, have partnered to become leaders in contemporary design. The Angela Adams brand offers a wide range of products such as rugs, furniture, handbags, fabric, ceramic tiles, stationery, glassware and bedding. Organic, colorful patterns and a novel approach defines the Angela Adams style. A reception will take place in the Glass Galleries following the lecture.

The museum is downtown at the corner of High and Congress Streets. For information, www.portlandmuseum.org or 207-775-6148.
