A Great Teacher
A Great Teacher
To the Editor:
I was saddened when I read of Norman Beginâs death in last weekâs paper. Mr Begin was my Spanish teacher in both grades seven and eight. I will always remember his classes; he played the Jeopardy theme song when we stood for oral quizzes and invented crossword puzzles and games to aid in our memorization of vocabulary. The room itself was a wild collage decorated with singing stuffed animals in sombreros and photos of his beloved garden under a sign reading, âMi Casa.â
I was fortunate to enjoy his class for two years in a row; Mr Begin was a great teacher who loved what he did. My deepest condolences to his family.
