Lillinonah Draw-Down Slated
Weather and operational conditions permitting, Lake Lillinonah will have its
water level drawn down by Northeast Utilities in October.
The water level will be lowered approximately seven feet from its normal
elevation starting October 23, according to Robert Gates, production manager
for NU's Connecticut Hydro unit.
The draw-down will allow lakeside residents to do work on their waterfront
properties under the terms of an arrangement between the Connecticut Light and
Power Company and the Lake Lillinonah Authority.
The water level will begin returning to normal October 30.
