De Vivo Unveils Frac Brat
(with cut)
Ecological Technologies of Newtown has announced the production of a new
dewatering tank that will allow safer, more cost-effective, and quicker
environmental clean-ups.
Unveiled at the Environmental Management and Technology Expo held at the
Atlantic City Conference Center in Atlantic City, N.J., on May 19-21, the new
innovation in dewatering tank technology is expected to significantly decrease
the amount of time needed to clean the unit after contaminated water has been
removed from environmental waste.
Frac Brat dewatering tank is being produced exclusively for Ecological
Technologies by De Vivo Industries, Inc., located at 40-42 High Bridge Road in
Sandy Hook.
Mario De Vivo, president of Ecological Technologies, said the dewatering tank
was designed to be user-friendly, from easy delivery by way of a roll-off
truck to easy clean-up after use. The tank features a compact, unibody
construction that adds strength by decreasing the number of spot welds, seams
and joints, and eliminates the need for corrugation breaks throughout the
tank. With single-sheet construction, there are no pockets for the hazardous
wastes accumulate during clean out.
The tank features four lifting hooks so that a crane can lift and place it in
places where vehicles are unable to go. The 10,500-gallon tank is
custom-designed for tight job sites, but by joining the tanks together using
the flanges located at either end, the system can handle dewatering jobs of
any size.
"We're focusing on providing safer, more practical and user-friendly options
for the environmental industry," Mr De Vivo said. "The Frac Brat is our
commitment to efficient and cost-effective environmental clean up."
