HEALTH MONITOR: Waterbury Hospital Offers Breast Health Line
WATERBURY -- Wondering at what age you should have your first mammogram?
Concerned because your physician has ordered a follow-up breast test?
Interested in joining a breast-cancer support group? Waterbury Hospital offers
a breast health telephone service to answer your questions. The number is
203/573-7660. Your call will be kept confidential and will be returned by a
Waterbury Hospital nurse.
"This is a service women have asked for," said Joanne Mille, RN, breast health
specialist at Waterbury Hospital. "Our Hospital has made a commitment to women
to provide breast-health education, convenient screening tests, early
detection of cancer and helpful follow-up care."
Waterbury Hospital offers mammography examinations both at the hospital and at
the Be Well Center, located on the second level of the Brass Mill Center mall,
near Sears. To schedule an appointment at the Hospital, call 203/573-7124. To
schedule a mammogram at the mall, call 203/575-0730.
The mall center also accepts mammography patients without an appointment.
Center hours are 9 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm, Saturday.
