Scholarship Ball Honors Don Studley

The 61st Newtown Scholarship Ball was held November 14 at the Ridgewood

Country Club in Danbury. Music entertainment was provided by Bob Button's

16-piece orchestra. People danced and enjoyed the music throughout the

evening.

Well attended, the Scholarship Association honored Newtown's Donald Studley

for his long years of service he has given to the association.

In appreciation, Mr Studley was given a drawing created by Michael Lavery.

A silent auction was offered by the Scholarship Association during the

evening, featuring a range of items, including sports tickets, works of art,

Beanie Babies and vacations.

The money raised by the association continues to help the children of Newtown

needing scholarships for graduate and undergraduate schooling.
