The state Department of Correction (DOC) has named two DOC employees to serve
as official spokespersons for the department.
Captain Scott Semple and Counselor Supervisor Christina Polce will be
responding to requests for information from the public, news organizations,
and others with an interest in corrections, according to a statement from DOC
Commissioner John J. Armstrong.
"We welcome Scott and Christina to public information with great confidence in
their knowledge and skills," Mr Armstrong said.
Captain Semple, 35, of Naugatuck has worked in DOC posts for the past 10
years. He formerly worked at Cheshire Correctional Institution, helped develop
DOC training standards, and has coordinated the DOC's pre-service training
program.
Ms Polce, 30, of East Haddam has supervised male and female offenders since
joing DOC in 1989. Most recently, she worked at York Correctional Institution
in Niantic.
