Stripp Lacks Opponent In Race In 135th

State Rep John Stripp will run unopposed this year in his bid to retain his

seat in the 135th District.

The Republican had to defeat Democrat John Baptist in the past two elections,

but no Democrat, including Mr Baptist, has stepped forward to run this time

around.

Rep Stripp received the Republican nomination for a fourth term at a

convention this week. He represents the district which includes Easton,

Redding, the northern part of Weston and the 3-A voting district in Newtown.
