Horse Farm Granted Permit

The Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) has granted a local man a special

exception to the zoning regulations to operate a horse farm he owns at 165

Brushy Hill Road.

Following a public hearing on the applications, P&Z members granted the

special exception to Richard Haas of Plumtrees Road.

The Brushy Hill Road facility now has an official P&Z approval for the

training, boarding and riding of horses and related activities.

The horse farm has been in operation for about 13 years, but hasn't had the

special exception to the zoning regulations which is now required by the P&Z.

"We believe we meet all requirements for a special exception," Mr Haas told

P&Z members at an August 6 session.
