Democrat Nunn Looks For Support In The 112th District
(with cut)
Andrew Nunn, 30, of Monroe recently announced his candidacy for State
Representative for the 112th District, which covers both Monroe and part of
Newtown.
He hopes to unseat Republican incumbent Bill Varese, whom Mr Nunn claims is
"out of touch with his constituents."
Mr Nunn, who grew up in Monroe, has received the support of both the Monroe
and Newtown town committees. He is a member of the Monroe Town Council.
"We were very impressed with the way he conducts himself and believe he is a
good candidate," noted Earl Smith, the chairman of Newtown's Democratic Town
Committee.
The candidate graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School and
Marquette University. He is a marketing manager for Windhover Information,
Inc, a Norwalk publishing company. He resides in Monroe with his wife, Dawn,
who works for Save the Children in Westport.
Mr Nunn is the son of Joan and the late Walter Nunn. His father was
politically active, serving as past president of the Monroe Jaycess and
chairman of the committee that built Wolfe Park. His mother taught elementary
school in Monroe for 30 years.
