Audi Damaged

Police report they learned about 9:20 am August 2 that a 2002 Audi Allroad Quattro station wagon, which was properly parked near the street in front of 12 Sunset Hill Road, received body damage when an unknown eastbound vehicle struck the unoccupied Audi and then drove away from the scene.

Police ask anyone with information on who damaged the Audi to contact investigating Officer Todd Dingee at 426-5841.

Hawleyville Crash

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Hawleyville Road about 4:50 pm July 31.

Motorist Mike Neiman, 62, of 6 Fox Run Lane South, who was driving a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck on Hawleyville Road, slowed in preparing to make a right turn into the driveway at 34 Hawleyville Road, when the GMC was hit from behind by motorist Alex Shepack, 17, of Litchfield, who was driving a 1996 Volvo 850 sedan, police report.

There were no injuries. Shepack received an infraction for following too closely.

Volvo Vs Chevy

Motorist Christa Jacaruso, 33, of Stafford, who was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier southward near 120 South Main Street about 5:50 pm July 31, slowed for traffic conditions and was struck from behind by southbound motorist Thomas Larsen, 21, of Danbury, who was driving a 1991 Volvo 12-S sedan, police report.

There were no injuries. Larsen received a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
