Gov Rell Names Newtown ER Doc To EMS Board

Governor M. Jodi Rell recently announced the appointment of Dr Craig Tenenbaum of Newtown to serve on the state’s Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board.

The advisory board coordinates the state’s efforts in improving the emergency medical service system and renders advice on the system’s development.

Dr Tenenbaum is attending physician at Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department in the Level 2 Trauma Center. He has worked at the hospital since 2003.

“Dr Tenenbaum is a specialist in emergency medicine and is a perfect fit for this advisory panel,” Gov Rell said. “His dealings with life and death situations every day give him a high level of insight that will benefit the board and the state in general. We are always looking to improve our emergency medical response system. With quality individuals such as Dr Tenenbaum serving on this key board, I am confident we will continue to make positive strides.”

Dr Tenenbaum will serve at the pleasure of the governor for a term coterminous with the governor’s or until a successor is appointed and has qualified, whichever is longer.
