38th Annual Art Show

SHERMAN — Sherman Art Show will present its 38th annual art show the weekend of August 15-17 at Sherman School.

The art association has invited painters, sculptors, photographers and craftmakers to this event which is held as a benefit for the town’s higher education fund.

The annual art show is known for the diversity found in the works by its more than 80 exhibitors. Many painting styles will be on view ranging from the realistic to the abstract. Oils, watercolors and other medial will portray landscapes, still life, New England scenes, architectural, animal and human forms or whatever expression might spring from the creative mind.

Crafts will cover jewelry, pottery, weaving, ceramic sculpture, glass, floral designs and other objects.

This year the exhibit is also sponsoring an estate sale of antique Victorian paintings and drawings, as well as a number of Japanese prints.

Sherman School, which is air-conditioned, is at the junction of Routes 37 and 39. Show hours are 10 am to 5:30 pm each day, there is ample parking space, and admission is free.
